Gems and Watercolors. An Unexpected Surprising Combination.

Gems, Watercolors and Blessings
A friend recently suggested that I offer a free charm made with semi-precious stones with each miniature painting I offered on line. Well it is an experiment in progress. I haven't a clue where it will lead. The truth is I love little gem chips. And I was totally inspired by the late summer flowers along the bi-ways of  our Central Virginia country side. So I started playing with these little watercolors.

They come in two sizes 2.5 by 3.5 inches for the ACEO size, and 1.5 by 2 inches for the Tiny Miniature paintings. The gem charms are either directly attached to the paintings with a hand made hanger after they are in their plastic sleeves or they are are attached to the plastic sleeves with hand made hangers so that they don't interfere with framing options.

The last experiment I did was to paint a little painting and actually attach the gem stones directly to the  painting where the flowers are.  It makes a neat affect.
